Intercessory 2018 Vision Gathering
“... Until we’re all moving rhythmically and easily with each other, efficient and graceful in response to God’s Son, fully mature adults, fully developed within and without, fully alive like Christ.”
COMPETENCY
In 2018, the vision is that all of us would know prayer. The dream is that we would not only know what to pray, but know how to pray.
By 2018, we should be “competent” in the art of prayer.
We should be able to pray and learn how to tap into our specific God-given gifts.
We should be able to move with skill and grace while remaining humble and teachable.
coordination
As the year goes on, I believe God is calling all of us to be coordinated with one another. Ephesians 4 talks about being so coordinated with one another that we move easily and rhythmically with one another—implying that there is no disconnect between parts or people.
When we are fully at peace with who we are and with who other people are, God is able to work easily with us!
CONNECTION
Our goal is simply to be in intimate connection with God.
And through that, to be in intimate connection with one another.
To that end, in 2018, the intercessory team should have the pulse of the congregation.
When you pray throughout the week of your assignment, what do you feel like the church needs?
What do you feel like is challenging the church in this moment? And we should also be praying for the various events and ministries that are taking place—when Women’s Ministry has a retreat, we should keep them in our prayers. When the leadership meets for their quarterly Kavannah meetings, we should be praying that God will speak to them to guide the church.
